Mentorship and Business Wisdom at the New Foundation of Hope Q&A
At City on the Hill Youth Foundation, we believe growth happens when young men are given the chance to learn from those who’ve already walked the path to success. This month, our students had that opportunity during a powerful Q&A Seminar hosted by New Foundation of Hope, where a multimillionaire business owner shared his personal journey — the victories, the lessons, and the things he would do differently if given the chance.
An Afternoon of Wisdom and Real-World Inspiration
The seminar brought together community leaders, business professionals, and youth eager to learn what it truly takes to succeed in life and leadership.
Representing City on the Hill, five of our young men attended alongside Instructor Tyrone Porties, who was invited to speak on the importance of mentorship, business relationships, and public relations.
Tyrone reminded everyone that true success isn’t measured in dollars, but in the relationships you build and the lives you influence along the way. He spoke from the heart about the value of character, consistency, and staying grounded — no matter how high you climb.

Lessons That Last
The featured guest — a successful entrepreneur and community supporter — spoke candidly about his road to success. He shared not just the steps that led to his achievements, but also the missteps that shaped his perspective. His openness about the things he wished he hadn’t done resonated deeply with the young men in attendance.
For our students, this honesty offered something more meaningful than a formula for wealth — it was a lesson in humility, perseverance, and growth. They left inspired to define success not just by what they earn, but by who they become.

Representing City on the Hill
Among those present were Marqueese, Tyrone Porties, and several of our youth participants. The group represented City on the Hill with pride — asking thoughtful questions, connecting with local leaders, and gaining first-hand exposure to how success is built over time.

For our team, the event wasn’t just about listening — it was about belonging. Each student saw themselves reflected in a room full of people striving to lift others up, proving that mentorship and shared wisdom truly are cornerstones of community success.

Building Hope Through Opportunity
Moments like this remind us why City on the Hill Youth Foundation exists — to connect young men with mentors, experiences, and opportunities that help them grow into confident, capable leaders. The guidance they receive today becomes the foundation for the futures they’ll build tomorrow.
Through partnerships with organizations like New Foundation of Hope, we’re continuing to invest not only in our students’ skills, but also in their character, purpose, and belief in what’s possible.

Support the Youth. Hire Us.
Every workshop, project, and seminar like this one helps our youth take another step toward a brighter future. You can be part of that journey by hiring our students for small carpentry projects — giving them a chance to gain experience, grow their confidence, and give back to the community they’re learning to lead.
Come build with us.
